Noteworthy performances by Anandi Students

Guruguhaamrta is a trust dedicated to the legendary composer Sri Muddusvami Dikshitar established in 2011 . G Ravikiran is the founder and managing trustee of the organisation. The trust conducted 2023 Global Competition of Muddusvami Dikshitar Kritis for students of music. Year after year, the competition has gained credibility and interest among the student and musicians community for its serious, focussed and academic approach to the works of Dikshitar. Our students Vibha Raghavendra and Maitri Chandramouli, qualified for the final round at the 2023 event and Vibha Raghavendra secured a Judges' Special Mention.

Bangalore Gayana Samaja 2023 - 53rd Music competition

Oct 2023

Bangalore Gayana Samaja's annual music competition in its 53rd year had a changed format with vocal competitions in the Kriti and Devaranama categories.A very large number of students from all over Bangalore participating in various vocal and instrumental categories. Our students participated in a few categories of vocal music.


Maitri Chandramouli and Sudev Narikatiri were finalists in the sub-junior and Juniors Kriti category.

KSEEB Senior/Junior Music Exam Dec 2022 Results​

All our students who appeared for the Junior Music Exam conducted by Karnataka Secondary Education Board in December 2022 have passed it with flying colours.​

Guru Layathvam's Laya Pratibha '23

Guru Layathvam (https://www.drgurubharadwaaj.com/) Academy of Fine Arts organised their annual Nattuvangam competition which was open to students across India and involved submission of prescribed Jathis by students, which then were shortlisted for the finals held at the academy's premises in Chennai. The event was judged by renowned percussionist Dr Guru Bharadwaj.

Our student Varshini Sivakumar, qualified for the final round at the event and had the opportunity to perform her Nattuvangam piece to an eminent panel of judges in Chennai.

Times NIE Spotlight  - SAPA Music Competitions

Feb 2023

Times NIE in association with SAPA organised “Spotlight” finals on 21 February 2023 at Ramana Maharshi Heritage Auditorium, Bangalore. There were over 600 entries in the preliminary round and the final event was judged by renowned musicians, Dr. L Subramaniam and Ms. Kavitha Krishnamoorthy.

The preliminary submissions for the various events were sent via the student's respective schools.

Vibha Raghavendra, was awarded the "SaPa star" award in  Carnatic Classical -Vocals and "Mention of Merit" in the Light Classical Vocal category.

Kalasourabha 2K22

KalaSourabha 2K22 , the International level Music and  Dance competition this year was tremendously challenging with students having to clear multiple rounds to reach the finals.

We are thrilled with our student's preparation and performance in various categories in this online competition.
Maitri Chandramouli, secured 3rd place in Devotional Music and Consolation Prize in Carnatic Classical -Vocals, Sub-junior category.

Saanvi Upadhyaya, was awarded 'Multitalented' award in the Junior Category owing to her participation and performance in Classical-Vocal (A+), Devotional Music (A) and Film Music (A).

Sudev Narikattiri, was awarded a Consolation Prize in Carnatic Classical -Vocals, Junior Category .

Vibha Raghavendra, was awarded a Consolation Prize in Carnatic Classical -Vocals, Junior Category,3rd Prize in Bharatanatyam, Junior Category and a star performer award in overall Junior Category.

Heritage Classical Singing Festival - 3rd Edition

Heritage Foundation of Arts and Culture's annual online National level inter-school music competition in its 3rd year had a very large number of students from all over India participating in it.


Our student Pranav Bhaskar participated and was placed Fourth in "Carnatic Classical", Junior category.

Raagalahari 2022

Raagalahari 2022 - South Indian Classical Music and Dance Competition' organised by Rotary Bangalore,Indiranagar was organised at VV Puram this year.


Our student Sarang Venkatrathnam participated in the prelims and qualified for the finals of Classical and Semi-Classical Junior categories, which were held post lunch on the same day.

He was awarded a Consolation Prize in the Semi-Classical event.

Vibha Raghavedra was placed First in "Swati Tirunal Compositions", Junior Category.

Maitri Chandramouli was placed Third in "Purandaradasa compositions" category and also was awarded a consolation prize in the "Tyagaraja compositions" category, Sub-Juniors.

Raagalahari 2021 - Rotary Bangalore, Indiranagar

Nov 2021

Raagalahari 2021 - South Indian Classical Music and Dance Competition' organised by Rotary Bangalore,Indiranagar was open to participants across Karnataka this year.
Our students Vibha, Saanvi and Sudev qualified for the finals of Ragalahari 2021.While Saanvi didn't get placed in top 3, she got good feedback from the judges while Sudev and Vibha were placed joint 3rd.
All 3 presented reasonably tough compositions within a time limit of 5-6 minutes. They had to do 3-4 takes of the video recording to make sure they didn't exceed the time and all were at the younger end of their age category and so their performance is all the more creditable.

Hallmark Carnatic Vocal Contest

June 2021

'Hallmark Carnatic Vocal Contest Season 2' organised by Rotary Club of Chennai was open to participants across the world with 500 plus entries across 13 categories.
Tara Koushik from the Arambha batch participated in the Age 5-8 Geetham category & bagged the 5th Prize.

Tara had to qualify through four rounds-application, quarter final, semis and the final round in which she had to sing the judge's selection in the final 2 rounds. Each candidate had to mention 10 Geethams from which these were chosen.

Kalasourabha 2K21

April 2021

'Kalasourabha 2K21' concluded recently. Last year 3 students from Anandi won prizes and were given a special chance to perform too.
This year, the competition was open to international  students too and had 3 rounds totally.
Among the students who participated this year - Maanvi,Arushi and Tanvi  from Aarambha batch ; Mahati and Kriti from the Junior batch got through to the second round .


Maitri Chandramouli, from the junior  batch  bagged a certificate of merit in the 3rd round( the final round had no less than 29 contestants ).

Shreyas (Grade 10,NPS Indiranagar) secured 149/150, the highest in theory cum aural section
Shriya(Grade 10,NPS Indiranagar) secured 242/250, the highest in the practical section.
